It was such a challenging journey with The Career Academy. The program that I took was not really as easy as I imagined but they made sure that the students will really understand the course. My favorite tutor was Yash Mittal, his feedback were encouraging and gave me so much inspiration and more determination to finish my course.
Mitali (Accounting Tutor)
Mitali is a Tutor at The Career Academy with a PhD in Accounting from the University of South Australia in Adelaide. Mitali is passionate about accounting education and is excited to contribute to students’ learning experience. Mitali enjoys interacting with students about their course and loves what she calls the ‘aah’ moments when students cross hurdles they are struggling with. As an educator Mitali strongly believes that students enjoy being empowered with the tools to help themselves in both academic and professional pursuits.
It was really great to work with Career Academy. The tutors helped me finish the course in a reasonably short time. I am proud of my achievement and am probably continuing my studies at a career academy. Thank you all my tutors:Tracy, Eden, Mitali, Bhavic

I made a decision to diversify my skillset and jumped on the Career Academy medical reception course. From the very beginning I knew I had the support network I needed to succeed in this course. The tutors are available for any questions and give helpful feedback. I have especially appreciated the help of Jessica Duiker who has encouraged me to continue to do the best I can with each assessment. Studying at home during COVID19 has been a great use of my downtime. I’ll come out of this with a fresh new qualification and ready to get back into the workforce.

I love my bookkeeper course. It’s so easy to navigate through. The teachers are amazing! They give you the motivation to reach your next module, special thanks to Sumit Sahi, his support was essential to make me feel confidence from the beginning to the end! I hardly recommend this course if you seeking to improve your Bookkeeping skills.

Thank you Katie.
Bhavik (Accounting Tutor)
After graduating from The University of Auckland, Bhavik came to us as one of our resident Accounting tutors where he amazes both his students and colleagues with his huge range of knowledge. Bhavik has been with us for many years and we’re still trying to find a topic that he’s not an expert in. So far we know he’s a pro at web development, IT, simulation racing, and guitar, so who knows what other talents he’s hiding from us. While tutoring, Bhavik loves that every student is unique which means he can tailor his tutoring style to each one. He says it’s especially rewarding when he sees a less confident student develop over the course of their learning.
Very good tutor support, thank you Bhavik Daya!
My first assignment was assessed very promptly and with very well explained errors and where I needed to reinforce my knowledge.
I got some good energy for further study.
Bethan (Accounting Tutor)
Bethan is an Accounting and Bookkeeping Tutor based in the UK and earned her first-class bachelor’s degree from De Montfort University in Leicester. When the tutor role at TCA became available post-graduation, she knew instantly that she wanted to become a part of the community and has never looked back since.
She is now looking to engage in further professional studies, which she hopes to be able to pass this specialist knowledge onto each and every student that she deals with, to help set them up for the best career possible. Not only that, but being a student for so long herself, some of the encouragement she received from those around her, pushed her to be in the position she is today, and she would love nothing more than to be able to offer the same opportunity to current and future TCA students.
I have received a few feedbacks from my tutors since now and must admit the best and the most motivating was from Bethan Hart. Bethan very carefully and deeply analyzed and summarize my work, giving me wonderful and encouraging words at the end. Her positive attitude really motivated me to keep my online study and convinced to work even harder. Maria K.
Blessing (Accounting Tutor)
Blessing is obsessed with two things – tutoring accounting and watching movies. Sadly, the number of movies starring accountants is limited, so she can’t combine her two loves, but in the meantime she’s almost as happy giving her students as much encouragement and motivation as she can.
The study flexibility offered by The Career Academy also means that she is always available to help, which she thinks is invaluable when it comes to helping students navigate both studying and living their busy lives. She believes that education is the key to success, and applies this to each and every one of her students.
When there’s time between movies, Blessing loves exploring New Zealand on road trips with her friends.
I am enjoying my course. Blessing helps me when I need help. Overall I would recommend others to study with The Career Academy and would do future studies.
Tracey (Accounting Tutor)
Tracey is a people person with impressive juggling skills. Like many of The Career Academy’s students, she’s a working mum balancing her job and her family.
In her previous role as an office manager at one of Lion Nathan’s Auckland establishments for seven years, she was responsible for all manner of financial duties (incl. payroll, and accounts payable & receivable.) She later backed up these skills with a Bachelor of Business from Massey.
Although she’s a proficient “number cruncher” it’s working with her students which Tracey enjoys the most. Seeing when a student really “gets it,” when their confidence soars or when they’re able to secure that new role – these are things that she loves.
Thank you Tracey Annan for your objective grade on my Myob payroll assignment. I can learn from my mistakes. I think it’s good to do something wrong so we can study more closely and learn more.
Awais (Accounting Tutor)
Awais believes a good tutor is someone who has an affinity with the students they are teaching, and he is just that. After graduating from Coventry University with a degree in Accounting & Finance, he is now working towards excelling as the next generation of chartered accountants. Awais enjoys integrating and connecting with his students to aid them in achieving their desired qualification.
Awais has a natural ability to empathise with students and can relate to the pressure in this academic voyage. As such, he aims to make the journey as smooth as possible.
Awais is passionate about what he does and is part and parcel of the core values of the Career Academy. He is a strong believer of what we represent and agrees that your first steps with the Academy will lead towards further steps in academic salvation.
I am satisfied with the quality of the course and specially with the tutor Awais Khan who is helping me.
Rachel (Pet & Animal Care Tutor)
Rachel has over 20 years’ experience in the animal industry. She has owned her own grooming and training business and worked in a number of veterinary clinics throughout Melbourne. She has trained and been a mentor for many people who wished to learn to become professional dog groomers. Rachel is all about positive handling techniques and loves to see people succeed and follow their passion for working with animals.
Really enjoying my course. The feedback is great. My tutor Rachel is wonderful and always there if I need her. I’m working on my last assignment now and considering taking another course.
Eden (Pet & Animal Care Tutor)
Eden loves animals and thought that The Career Academy would be the perfect place to help others grow their passion for animals as well. During her study at Unitec – Eden spent some time studying the fascinating behaviour of the baboons at Auckland Zoo. Fortunately, the other tutors at The Career Academy are both friendlier and better behaved, and she loves the community spirit around the office.
Of course, it’s the students that make it worth getting up in the morning. ‘It’s awesome when students add their own experiences to their assignments,’ and she especially loves to hear the stories about people’s pets.
When the last assignment is marked, Eden relaxes with horse riding and reading (but thankfully not at the same time).
I am finding the material in this course very helpful and most interesting. The best part is the positive feedback and support that I have received from my tutors Rachael and Eden. Can’t wait to study something new.
Bess (Psychology Tutor)
Bess came to us after studying at the Auckland University of Technology. Now, she helps The Career Academy’s students get the most out of their Psychology courses. Nothing is more rewarding for Bess than when she sees students getting excited about their course, and finds tutoring is a great way to get insights into the lives of her students. Bess is thinking about extending her tutoring experience and going back to study to become a primary school teacher, where she’d trade her students for ones who are a little younger.
My tutor Bess is always encouraging, supportive and i love her feed back especially when she encourages me to eloborate my answer to a question, she helps me have another go. I so appreciate her positive criticisms which helps me grow in understanding. The online course and material is easy to surf and understand. Brilliant CustomerCare with the help box, prompt and very communicative. I’m already utilized some of the teaching. Thank you everyone from The Career Academy studing is another opportunity for me to grow and open new doors career wise. 😎🤗😁

About Our Student Advisors
Our Student Advisors are career consultants who are dedicated to finding the perfect course for our students. They have extensive knowledge about the variety of courses available and are contactable via phone or by downloading an info pack.
Apar is one of our resident course gurus, and while one day there might be a course he doesn’t know inside and out, it hasn’t been created yet. This gives him the uncanny ability to guide students to the right path and help them find the course that is perfect for them.
He especially likes to see students getting excited about the interactive exercises and quizzes in their course, and thinks that these unique learning options are what makes our students love learning with us.
Thomas loves to see the enthusiasm that students have when they’re enrolling in a course. ‘They’re happy to be learning and taking the next step’ he says, and we think that this makes a huge difference when it comes to succeeding in their course.
While you wouldn’t think that advising students taking their next step in their education and flying through the air on a motorbike would come in the same package – Thomas is living proof that you’d be wrong. Although he freely admits that he’s pretty lucky to be living proof at all – he once spent a month bedridden with a broken ribcage after a motorbike crash.
While Ash’s official title is ‘Course Advisor,’ a big part of his day-to-day is being a little bit of a fortune teller. When students call him up, it’s Ash’s job to help them see all the potential futures available to them if they enrol. He’s also happy to report that their futures are looking bright. The thing he likes most about The Career Academy is that every single member of the team is pulling together to make sure that our students have the best education experience they can possibly have. When Ash is away from his crystal ball, he tries to keep himself busy by hitting the gym.
