Eden loves animals, and thought that The Career Academy would be the perfect place to help others grow their passion for animals as well. During her study at Unitec – Eden spent some time studying the fascinating behaviour of the baboons at Auckland Zoo. Fortunately, the other tutors at The Career Academy are both friendlier and better behaved, and she loves the community spirit around the office.
Of course, it’s the students that make it worth getting up in the morning. ‘It’s awesome when students add their own experiences to their assignments,’ and she especially loves to hear the stories about people’s pets.
When the last assignment is marked, Eden relaxes with horse riding and reading (but thankfully not at the same time).
After getting her degree in Zoology and Animal Science Kaitlyn spent time in South Africa studying Cheetahs, as well as time in Zanzibar studying the impact that tourism has on Bottlenose and Humpback dolphins. Now she’s taking what she learnt there and is passionate about passing it on to all her enthusiastic Animal and Pet Care students at The Career Academy. Fortunately, online learning means that none of our students have to get too up close and personal with a hungry cheetah. In her free time, Kaitlyn spends her time trying to wrangle her Great Dane puppy, and is also in the Australian Army Reserves – but she doesn’t know which is a tougher job.
