Enquiries and Feedback
You will receive a complementary phone consultation with a course adviser when you request an Information Pack. You will also be automatically added to our enews database if you make an enquiry with The Career Academy. Please advise our administrator if you do not want to receive updates from The Career Academy (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Career Academy really appreciates the feedback that you provide on completion of your course and uses this for course improvement and marketing purposes. Please let our administrator know if you would prefer that we did not use your feedback for marketing purposes (email@example.com).
Application for Enrolment
If you are a domestic student (as defined in section 159 of the Education Act 1989), on acceptance by the Career Academy of your application for enrolment, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Career Academy, which shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand. By placing an order on The Career Academy New Zealand website, you confirm that you are a domestic student. Generally, a domestic students is defined in section 159 of the Education Act 1989 as:
A New Zealand citizen
The holder of a residence class visa granted under the Immigration Act 2009
A person of a class or description of persons required by the Minister, by notice in the Gazette, to be treated as if they are not international students.
You can access section 159 of the Education Act 1989 by accessing this link. Students who are not classified as domestic students cannot enrol in The Career Academy New Zealand as it is not a registered Private Training Establishment. We will refer you to one of The Career Academy’s international counterparts for processing (such as The Career Academy Australia PTY Ltd).
How long do I have to complete my course?
You will have up to six months to complete your course or 12 months if you are completing a Pathway Program. You are welcome to take longer than six months but you will need to advise us on enrolment or request an extension here
You will receive your welcome email and online Moodle login details to access your course content within one working day.
Minimum technical requirements
Before you sign up to start your course you must ensure that you have Microsoft Office. Without Microsoft Office you will not be able to open or submit your assignments. If you need to add Office 365 to your studies, buy it here or call our Student Advisers on 0800 342 829
What happens if I want to cancel my course?
Students are deemed to be enrolled in a course when they have accepted the Term’s & Conditions as advised by the student adviser. This is further confirmed once approval to take payment has been given. Students are encouraged to read the Career Academy Student Policy online to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a student with the Academy. Cancellations within 7 working days of receiving your Log in Email will be entitled to a full money back guarantee less a $100 + GST administration fee. If you cancel after this time, you will be liable to pay the full amount outstanding. Requests for course cancellations must be made by contacting the Cancellations Ambassador on: 0800 342 829 Ext 830.
Is The Career Academy a Private Training Establishment?
Yes - The Career Academy is a private training establishment, but not a registered private training establishment for the purposes of the Education Act 1989. It does not have accreditation from NZQA to deliver approved programmes but instead has accreditation from a number of professional industry bodies such as the New Zealand Bookkeepers Association, MYOB, etc”.
