I felt it was well balanced, provided 5 resources and quick responses to all emails, so don't have any aspects as to improving the course. I liked how the material and information was presented online. just thank, I loved every topic

I felt an online course would suit my lifestyle, being able to study from anywhere was very appealing to me as I work part-time. I was able to study at work, at home, at friends houses and even whilst i was out and about on my phone! That part of this course was great. Also the adviser Demelza, I spoke to in the beginning was great and she knew exactly what I needed/wanted to study, better than i did, so special thanks to her! Please read above as I really feel these areas need to be addressed in order for future students to get the best potential out of the course. AMYUNI ERROR: The MYOB payroll module needs to be compatible for every computer. I had to pay an extra $70.00 for an extension that i didn;t necessarily need because of a software malfunction. For future reference to all tutors who;s student may have this problem, you need to know how to fix and in MYOB. As it seemed only one of you tutors- Matthew Jacobsen – knew how to fix it. A problem which left me hanging for two weeks exchanging phone calls with the academy and getting no answers. I lost my work repetitively because I was told to uninstall and reinstall, but this does not fix the error. Was extremely unhappy about this. NSTRUCTION UPDATES: If you are going to update course content whilst students are studying i;d suggest you send an email notification or something similar. As I printed out the excel assignment instructions to work on, in the process the course content was &, I submitted my assessment based on the original instructions, then received my assessment back as failed, as it was marked on the new instructions. I think if you are going to update whilst students are working you need make it very clear, or you need to be aware of what instructions the student has been given originally so you can mark it accordingly. As it is unfair for any student to have to complete one module twice. ENGLISH: One last thing that could be improved as I noticed throughout the course there were quite a lot of typos, spelling mistakes and just bad grammar all together. Which whilst learning a new topic to begin with, can make it very confusing to follow.

I feel I need to have a certificate to assist in securing a job. Jess suggested I might enjoy the Diploma as it has a significant amount of study on Project Management. I did enjoy that aspect of it. Hi, yes the course was 4 but as the course description suggested 300 hours study I was expecting a lot more, likely practical application. I found each section/assignment took a couple of hours each to complete the reading & assessment. This was disappointing. I completed the course within a calendar month while doing a part time job, normal amounts of exercise & other voluntary activities I perform for two groups. I suggest I likely did 60 – 70hours of study rather than 300 hours.
The impression the hours to be spent impacted on how I felt about the course fee.
I considered it would be value for money if I would be studying for 4 or 5 months. I was quite looking forward to it.
Now the value will be related to whether I am able to secure a job.

They have a lot of courses and for me having two children studying from home and having a payment plan suited me best.

The tutors were quick and answered all of my questions. I like the fact that the course is online as I prefer doing it in my own time. The corrections given on assignments by tutors were very thorough also!

Easy repayments and no student load required. I also could do it in my own time and not feel pressured having to attend a class each week when working full time and having children.

Massey University did not offer a Certificate in Event Management, and this was the area I was interested in. More feedback is always a bonus. Comments on assignments are welcomed.

Good overall. When organizing conferences I would have liked to see some input as to “ice-breaker” games to play or websites to go to. I decided to study with The Career Academy because they were the only company who had an event management course besides the Level 7 one at Open Polytec or going to one of those conference event days.

I have chosen to study the Certificate in Event Management as I would like to be able to plan pop-up events, festivals and other corporate events like conferences and trade shows. The assignments and projects are great as I am able to apply what I am learning to ‘real life’ event briefs. Sometimes I forget I am not working on a real event they are so realistic.
