Daniel Hunt – Managing Director & CEO

Daniel Hunt is a qualified chartered accountant, business advisor and the founder of The Career Academy. Daniel completed his postgraduate qualifications while working at PriceWaterhouse Coopers and was selected for a NZ Herald article promoting accounting as a profession. During this time he was encouraged to pursue teaching in business, accounting and bookkeeping, and saw a need for people other than those working toward a tertiary qualification to receive high quality education.

Daniel has been a writer for the new Chartered Accountants Program which is delivered by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). This is a professional program which is completed by almost 4,000 aspiring chartered accountants each year. He has also contributed to a number of accounting and taxation articles published by the NZ Herald and works closely with the New Zealand Bookkeepers Association (NZBAI) to provide training & education for bookkeepers.

Daniel has been involved in developing and delivering courses at multiple levels and has a passionate interest in distance and online education.

Tony Adams – Tutor Manager

tony-2Tony qualified as a chartered accountant in London with KPMG before moving into teaching the CA qualification to PWC, EY, Deloitte and KPMG graduates. Prior to KPMG, he spent an enviable few years teaching sailing on an island from a beach in the Mediterranean.

What he enjoys the most about his role is the problem solving, trying to come up with constant improvements for the students learning environment and he thrives on giving high quality feedback for students. The most satisfactory aspect of his role is watching the tutor team work their socks off and consistently delivering an outstanding level of helpful and supportive feedback to every student that passes through the Career Academy.

Tony grew up in London and spent most of his youth sailing on the South Coast of the UK, he’s looking to start sailing the 12ft skiffs in Auckland harbour. He wants to improve on his surfing and has recently started open water swimming which is pretty apt given his poor surfing ability.

Andy Leader – Expert Trainer from QED Associates

Andy has extensive experience in quality management of education and training. He has personally assisted over 40 training providers with a full range of quality provision and compliance such as; NZQA Regulation; Course Approval and Accreditation. Andy works with QED Associates who

Her best piece of advice to anyone considering a course with The Career Academy? "That's a great idea! Online learning means you can work at your own pace around work and life commitments. Our tutors are genuinely here to help; if you need a hand, all you have to do is ask."
